Wings fly high over New York Liberty 93-80
Orlando- The Dallas Wings crushed the New York Liberty 93--80 to get their second win of the season in dominating fashion.

Dallas's own Arike Ogunbowale set the tone early, as she came out the gate hot. Ogunbowale scored a couple of shots, had a couple of rebounds, and dished out a couple of assists in the first half, as the Liberty kept the game close in the first half. Turnovers and bad shot selection kept the Liberty within striking distance late in the second quarter. Moriah Jefferson and Satou Sabally contributed to some great defense on the floor. They were getting into the passing lanes and creating turnovers for the wings, which turned into fast-break opportunities for the Wings. At the end of the break, the score was 58-43.
Despite Liberty's rookie Sabrina Ionescu having a monster all-around game with 33 points, 7 assists, 7 rebounds in 34 minutes, the Wings kept attacking the Liberty's inside presence. Allisha Gray and Tyasha Harris combined for 17 points, as they kept Liberty at bay.
Head Coach Brian Agler was impressed with the win and had this to say about it.
.
“I thought our defense improved from Sunday, team-wise, and I thought we were more focused and played to the scout pretty well. Sabrina Ionescu got it going and had a great stretch towards the end of the first half and we didn’t do great at that moment. I was impressed by her competitiveness... From our standpoint, we improved and had good minutes off the bench, Allisha Gray is a huge part of this. She didn’t get the minutes tonight but when she comes in the game we don’t drop off at all offensively.”
