A'ja Wilson scored 32 points and grabbed 10 rebounds, and Jackie Young added 19 points and 11 assists for the Las Vegas Aces in Thursday's 88-80 victory over the Portland Fire.
Wilson returned after missing three games due to a right leg injury and scored 10 of Las Vegas' opening 20 points. This is her seventh 30-point game of the season, making 10 of 19 shots from the field and 11 of 13 from the free-throw line.
NaLyssa Smith finished with 16 points for Las Vegas (16-6), which moved into a tie for first place with Minnesota. As the Aces shot 51%, Young made eight of her 11 shots.
For Portland (9-13), Carla Leite scored 13 points, Megan Gustafson added 11 and Teja Oblak added 11.
Wilson's dominant performance in the first quarter set the tone for the Aces, helping them establish an early lead.
