Mavs highlight education first in ISD Donation

Dallas- Mavs' players brought awareness to youth and education during a community event.

Each year the Mavericks as a whole donate money for school supplies, bookbags, and more to Dallas ISD secondary schools, which made sure the students are well equipped for their school year. Dallas Mavericks players JaVale McGee and Dāvis Bertāns, along with Dallas Mavericks ManiAACs, D-Town Crew and Mascots Champ and MavsMan, visited classrooms to deliver the items personally to students and teachers at John Lewis Social Justice Academy at Oliver Wendell Holmes.

The students were very excited when they saw the bookbags, shirts, and other items that were given out. Each of the Mavs' players gave an encouraged message to the students about education and how it will help them in the later years of their lives.
