The Patriots are the hottest team in the NFL, and they had a match up against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday. If they won, they would return as the kings with the crown atop of their division. For the first half, Drake Maye and crew put up 24 points on the Bills and it looked like the Patriots would run away with the game, but the second half for the Pats was a different team. Their defense allowed Buffalo to go down the field and score 21 unanswered points.
Let's head to the fourth quarter! Ona third and goal, Josh Allien hit Dawson Knox in the back of the endzone to help the Bills take their first lead of the day. After the touchdown, TreVeyon Henderson took it to the crib with a 65-yard scamper to retake the lead with under eight minutes left in regulation. What was impressive about the touchdown was Maye rushing down the field for the final block to spring Henderson in the endzone for the touchdown.
I guess James's cook said, I can do what Henderson can do and chopped and scrapped the Pats with a touchdown at the five-minute mark to give the lead back to Buffalo. With under four minutes left, this was the moment that New England wanted. They wanted to prove to others that they are not a fluke and could get wins whenever they were down in crucial moments. New England could not covert a fourth and short and went onto lose a game where they blew a three-score lead. Maye finished 14 out of 23 for 155 yards and 1 pick.
