Dodgers' star Yoshinobu Yamamoto held the Blue Jays in check with having a pretty strong performance for six innings. He held them to five hits, one walk, and striking out six players. Talk about having a dominant day to keep the morale high.
"Clearly, he struggled a bit at the start," Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said on Yamamoto's outing. "He threw a lot of pitches early on. But after that, he really found his rhythm beautifully."
Despite the offensive struggles for the Dodgers, they gutted it out and Alex Freeland was one of the key factors with getting LA's offense jumpstarted. He went 3 for 3, at bat and had two runs. After the game, he had this to say about his performance. "It felt amazing," Freeland said. "I've just been trying to be consistent and keep producing good at-bats."
The Dodgers will head to Canada on Wednesday to potentially get the sweep.
