Very few spectators will be in attendance during the Tokyo Olympics

Tokyo- The 2021 Tokyo Olympic committee has decided that they will not have any international spectators due to the concerns of rising COVID-19 cases.

Last week, the Olympic committee decided that they will have to pull the plug with allowing international spectators to be in attendance at the Olympic games. There has been a lot of heat on the committee with moving forward with the games, due to the pandemic, but the committee continues to adapt to the global circumstances.

"Based on the present situation of the pandemic, it is highly unlikely that entry into Japan will be guaranteed this summer for people from overseas,” the committee said in a statement. “In order to give clarity to ticket holders living overseas and to enable them to adjust their travel plans at this stage, the parties on the Japanese side have come to the conclusion that they will not be able to enter into Japan at the time of the Olympic and Paralympic Games.”

Any international or overseas fan, who purchased tickets will get a refund. Information on refunds will be updated in a few weeks.
