WWE's Saturday Night's Main Event (SNME) in Tampa, Florida, was a spectacle filled with thrilling action, unexpected returns, and big match announcements that have set the stage for Money in the Bank on June 7 at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California. The event saw John Cena and Jey Uso securing victories in their respective matches, with a tag team match announcement between Cena and Uso that promises to deliver high drama.

Along with these pivotal moments, the night also marked the return of Cody Rhodes to WWE for the first time since his high-stakes loss to John Cena at WrestleMania 41 in April. Let's break down the biggest moments and matches from the action-packed evening.

Seth Rollins and Bron Breakker Defeat CM Punk and Sami Zayn

The night kicked off with a thrilling tag team match between some of WWE’s most prominent stars. Seth Rollins and Bron Breakker teamed up to take on CM Punk and Sami Zayn. It was Punk’s first match since his loss at WrestleMania 41 in a triple-threat match with Rollins.

As the match unfolded, Bronson Reed made a surprise return, attacking Punk while the referee was distracted by Paul Heyman. The distraction proved costly for Zayn, who was caught off guard outside the ring and speared by Breakker. Rollins and Breakker celebrated their victory after the match, with Heyman’s group—which now includes Reed—embracing their new alliance. This victory raised even more questions about future alliances and rivalries within WWE.

Zelina Vega Defends Women’s United States Championship

In the women’s division, Zelina Vega successfully defended her Women’s United States Championship against Chelsea Green in an exciting match that saw a lot of interference. Despite distractions from Piper Niven and Alba Fyre, Vega remained focused and hit a stunning code red from the top of the turnbuckle to pin Green and retain her title. With this win, Vega remains undefeated against Green, improving her record to 5-0.

John Cena Dominates R-Truth in Quick Victory

John Cena made another appearance on the night, taking on R-Truth in a fast-paced, yet entertaining match. R-Truth started the match by mocking Cena’s signature mannerisms during his entrance, which clearly angered the Undisputed WWE Champion. Cena didn’t hold back, attacking Truth the moment he entered the ring.

While Truth did manage to land a few moves using Cena’s own move set, Cena regained control after a quick distraction. Cena brought his championship belt into the ring, using it to distract the referee. While Cena refrained from using the belt as a weapon, he took advantage of the situation, kicking Truth in the groin behind the referee's back. With Truth incapacitated, Cena quickly wrapped up the match and secured the win.

Damian Priest Outsmarts Drew McIntyre in Steel Cage Match

In the co-main event, fans were treated to an intense steel cage match between Damian Priest and Drew McIntyre. The brutal encounter saw both competitors put their bodies on the line inside the unforgiving steel structure. McIntyre, known for his strength and intensity, looked set to end the match with a Claymore Kick to Priest, who was caught between two steel chairs.

But in a shocking turn of events, Priest walked out of the cage door to earn the victory, securing his spot as a dominant force in WWE. The win came at a high cost, though, as emergency personnel had to check on McIntyre after the match due to the damage sustained from the steel chair attack. Priest’s ability to escape the cage and secure the win left fans wondering what’s next for both men.

Cena and Uso Build Toward a Big Tag Team Clash

During Jey Uso’s match with Logan Paul, Cena made his dramatic return, pulling the referee out of the ring while Uso was in the middle of a pin attempt. Cena then launched a brutal assault on Uso, signaling that their rivalry was far from over. But just as Cena seemed to have gained control, Rhodes made his presence felt. As Paul, using a distraction, retrieved a pair of brass knuckles to strike Rhodes, Jey Uso retaliated by laying out Paul with a spear.

Uso didn’t stop there. He delivered a stunning frog splash from the top turnbuckle to secure the pinfall victory over Paul, cementing his position as one of the top stars in WWE. The confrontation set the stage for an explosive tag team match at Money in the Bank featuring Cena and Uso on opposing sides.
