University of Miami's president will be involved more with their football program

It has been a tough season so far for the highly anticipated football showstoppers. The Hurricanes football program has faced heavy criticism over the past few years, with even more this past weekend. This time the media called out the University of Miami president for his lack of involvement with the school’s program.

The president of the school decided to put out a statement, "To Our University of Miami Family and Hurricanes Fans Everywhere, The University of Miami is an institution dedicated to the pursuit of excellence." "As our football team gets ready to kick off conference play this evening, I want to make clear that the Board of Trustees and I, as president, recognize the essential part of our brand and reputation derived from athletics and we are fully committed to building championship-caliber teams at the U."

It has been a challenging start of the football season for the Canes with only a few wins so far but can the Hurricanes be the MVP's of Miami this year?
