THE WHOLE STORY WITH ANDERSON COOPER MARKS THE FIFTEENTH ANNIVERSARY OF FLIGHT 1549 IN “MIRACLE ON THE HUDSON” EPISODE FEATURES AN EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW WITH CAPTAIN SULLY SULLENBERGER

It is safe to say that if you are a fan of the movie Sully then you are not going to want to miss this. Ahead of Flight 1549's anniversary, Anderson Cooper sits down exclusively with its captain, Ambassador Charles “Sully” Sullenberger, and passengers. They reflect on how this extraordinary event changed their lives forever. “Miracle on the Hudson” will premiere January 7 at 8pm ET/PT.

In case you are not familiar with this story, on January 15, 2009, Captain Sullenberger and First Officer Jeff Skiles miraculously landed US Airways Flight 1549 safely in the Hudson River, saving the lives of all 155 people on board. Quite possibly the most famous emergency landing in the history of modern aviation, the heroic act captivated the nation and was broadcast all over the world. It was later portrayed in the 2016 Warner Bros. Film Sully starring Tom Hanks, which was released in 2016.

Featuring interviews with Sullenberger and his wife, Lorrie, and passengers Vallie Collins, Ric Elias, Barry Leonard, Clay Presley, Pam Seagle, and Eric Stevenson, The Whole Story explores the harrowing details of the fateful day as well as the psychological effects that still linger fifteen years after that event, which have led some individuals to drastically change their lives in the process.  This will be a very exciting event you do not will not want to miss.
