South Carolina women's basketball is gearing up for an electrifying 2025-26 SEC schedule, packed with high-stakes matchups and fierce competition. The four-time reigning SEC regular-season champions will kick off their campaign on New Year's Day against Alabama, a team they’ll face twice this season. The Gamecocks’ journey will culminate with a thrilling finish—five of their final six games are against 2025 NCAA Tournament participants, including four consecutive matchups to close out the season.

Home games promise to be a spectacle, with six of eight featuring 2025 NCAA Tournament teams. Four of these opponents ranked among the nation’s top 20 last season. Fans can look forward to Sunday showdowns at home, including clashes with NCAA Sweet 16 finishers Tennessee (Feb. 8) and Ole Miss (Feb. 22), as well as border rival Georgia (Jan. 11) and tournament participant Vanderbilt (Jan. 25). Thursday home games add to the excitement, with matchups against Alabama (Jan. 1), Texas (Jan. 15), Mississippi State (Feb. 5), and Missouri (Feb. 26).

On the road, the Gamecocks face a rare Saturday clash at LSU (Feb. 14) and challenging Sunday games at Florida (Jan. 4), Alabama (Feb. 19), and Kentucky (Mar. 1). Thursday road contests will test the team’s resilience at Arkansas (Jan. 8), Oklahoma (Jan. 22), Auburn (Jan. 29), and Alabama (Feb. 19).

Led by head coach Dawn Staley, South Carolina has dominated the SEC, securing nine regular-season titles in the past 12 seasons, including the last four consecutively. Staley’s impressive 214-56 SEC record gives her the second-highest winning percentage (.793) in league history, behind only Tennessee’s Pat Summitt (.874). Her 214 conference wins rank as the most among active coaches and third all-time, trailing only Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame inductees Andy Landers (Georgia, 273) and Summitt (Tennessee, 306).

Tipoff times and TV details will be announced later, but one thing is certain—the 2026 SEC Women’s Basketball Tournament will return to Greenville, S.C., at Bon Secours Wellness Arena for the ninth time. The tournament, featuring all 16 teams, will tip off on Wed., Mar. 4, with the championship game set for Sun., Mar. 8.
