Atlanta extend their winning streak to five

With Angel Reese scoring 21 points and grabbing 13 rebounds, the Atlanta Dream won their fifth straight game on Friday night 98-89 over the Seattle Storm.

It took Reese just 27 games to pass Brionna Jones (136) for the most offensive rebounds by a Dream player in a season.

Allisha Gray scored 16 points and Naz Hillmon added 18 for Atlanta (18-10). Jones scored 14 points off the bench, while Jordin Canada contributed 10 points and nine assists. Rhyne Howard, who averaged 17.2 points per game, managed just nine points on 3-of-13 shooting.

Seattle (6-25) was led by Natisha Hiedeman's 23 points. Ezi Magbegor scored 12 points off the bench, while Dominique Malonga had 16 points and 13 rebounds. Flau’jae Johnson had a nightmare game shooting 2 of 11 from the field.

With 3:53 left in the fourth quarter, Atlanta led 87-74 before Seattle went on a 10-2 run. As the Storm trimmed their deficit to 92-88 with 43.4 seconds left, Gray made two free throws to seal the victory.

Angel Reese's dominant performance, with 21 points and 13 rebounds, was pivotal in securing the victory for the Dream. Naz Hillmon also shone with her contribution of 18 points, showcasing her ability to score efficiently. Allisha Gray's steady hand was evident as she added 16 points and crucial free throws in the final moments to ensure Atlanta's win.
