Sha'Carri Richardson is at peace with herself, despite critics hammering her

After pulling out a victory in the 100 Meters semifinals on Sunday, Sha'Carri Richardson had some passionate words on how the world views her. "I'm not worried about the world anymore. I've seen the world be my friend, I've seen the world turn on me. At the end of the day, I've always been with me. God has always been with me. So being on this scale now, it's my time," she said. "It's always been my time, but now it's my time to actually do it for myself, and the people that felt like me, and the people that look like me, and the people that know the truth about themselves as well. I represent those people."

Richardson has been put in the spin cycle of life the last three years and has taken all the negative energy that she has received and put it into a positive comeback story. Richardson has put together not only a string of wins this season but using her voice to encourage others to be yourself, despite what other individuals may think of you. Her story have inspired so many young women, who has either walked in Richardson's shoes or had some similar experience.

With the Olympics only a year away, Richardson is laser focused with continuing to improve her time, as well as getting out of the blocks much quicker. It will be interesting to see what Richardson has cooked up for the reminder of the season.
