TNT Sports and the Own Network partnered together to highlight and showcase another story that is a hidden but in-fact inspiring story.
The documentary One Golden Summer is about an all-black baseball team, who captured the hearts of Americans around the globe in 2014. They broke history becoming the first all-Black team to win the U.S. Little League Championship. However, that title was short-lived as an obstacle of questionable residency boundaries, their tile was stripped away.
In this documentary, each of the people who were affected will tell their side of the story.
ONE GOLDEN SUMMER is the definitive documentary that finally hands the microphone back to the players. Following its decorated debut at the Chicago International Film Festival, where it secured The Chicago Award and Audience Award for Best Documentary, the film is set to explore the intersection of excellence, systemic hurdles, and the unbreakable bond of a team.
The documentary will premiere May 7th on the Own Network.
