With their backs to the wall, San Antonio came out the game on fire with an aggression. At one point in the first half, they had the Thunder down by 15, but as you know, SGA and team was not going to allow that. Isaiah Hartenstein was a big part of OKC, cutting down the Spurs lead. He finished the half with 12. Despite, the Thunder cutting the Spurs' lead down, San Antonio held SGA pretty much in check as he earned 10 points to finish the half. Let's talk about Victory (Stretch) Wembanyama, who pushed the pace of the game and set the tone from start to finish. He hit the first three for the Spurs and hit a gut-wrench three to close out the half for them
I don't know what was said in the locker room, but the Spurs punished the Thunder with a 7-0 run at the start of the second half to extend their lead to 16. It seemed like everything was clicking and their defense on SGA was suffocating. Outside of Wemby, Stephon Castle had a huge impact on both sides of the floor. He had a couple of steals, which opened up the game i a big way. San Antonio went onto win and evened the series,
Wemby finished with 33 points
