Phoenix Mercury’s 2023 WNBA draft picks
The Phoenix Mercury welcome two picks to The Valley in round three of the WNBA Draft Monday evening.
University of Miami senior forward Destiny Harden was picked 27th overall, from Atlanta Dream. They also added USC forward Kadi Sissoko with the No. 29 pick overall. Harden received ACC All-Tournament Team (2022), One-time ACC Player of the Week (2021), and McDonald’s All-American Game nominee. A reliable wing player with a versatile game averaging 11.9 points per game and two assists as well as a formidable defender who also led her team in rebounding last season with 5.9 rebounds.
Sissoko earned All-Pac-12 selection, averaging 15.4 points and 6.2 rebounds in the 2022-2023 season. She also competed for the U23 French National Team.
The Phoenix Mercury improved the depth on the wings adding two big-time playmakers.
