Patrick Mahomes invests in ownership group of MLB Team

Kansas City- Patrick Mahomes is making his voice heard on and off the field, as he buys into the ownership of the Kanas City Royals organization.

"We are very proud and excited to have Patrick as our partner in the ownership group of this franchise," Royals principal owner and CEO John Sherman said in a statement from the team. "Along with the rest of Kansas City, I have watched Patrick compete and become an extraordinary leader, both on and off the football field."

Mahomes has shown that he is a leader on and off the field and it helps out that he is a huge fan of baseball. "I'm honored to become a part-owner of the Kansas City Royals," Mahomes said in the same release. "I love this city and the people of this great town. This opportunity allows me to deepen my roots in this community, which is something I'm excited to do."

Despite the pandemic that is going on around the globe, Mahomes has had a very good year. He won his first Super Bowl in a comeback victory over the San Francisco 49ers, has a 10-year, $503 million dollar extension with the Chiefs, and now is part owner of the Kanas City Royals. Mahomes is very excited about his investment and looks forward to working within the organization.
