Saints overcome a slow start to pull out a victory over the Ravens

The New Orleans Saints recovered from another lethargic start today—just like last Sunday against the Detroit Lions—but this time, the outcome was completely different. The Black & Gold rallied from behind to lock up their first victory of the season, beating the Baltimore Ravens 24-17 at M&T Bank Stadium!

Saints quarterback Tyler Shough delivered another strong second-half performance, finishing 27/34 for 252 yards. Chris Olave came up big with 8 receptions for 86 yards, alongside a huge effort from tight end Juwan Johnson. Their work set up a 1-yard touchdown run by Shough to take the lead with just 1:28 left to play.

On the other side of the ball, the defense really held their own in the second half, led by DE Chase Young and LB Pete Werner, who each notched 1.5 sacks.

With the record now evened up at 1-1, the team heads back to New Orleans to prepare for the first home game of the season against the Las Vegas Raiders next Sunday, September 27th, at 3:25 p.m. in the Caesars Superdome.
