Miami Dolphins Signs Shaquem Griffin and Cre'Von LeBlanc

The Miami Dolphins announced today that they have signed linebacker Shaquem Griffin and cornerback Cre'Von LeBlanc. During the announcement, they have also let it be known that they released defensive end Nick Coe and long snapper Rex Sunahara.

Coe spent the entire 2020 season on the Dolphin's practice squad. He originally entered the NFL as an undrafted college free agent with the New England Patriots. Sunahara also joined the Dolphin's practice squad last year on Nov 16th, 2020 and spent the rest of the year with the team.

LeBlanc and Griffin signed a one year deal with the team. LeBlanc is a five year veteran with 16 career stats who has played the past two seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles. He is a Palm Beach County native and a Florida Atlantic University alumni.

Griffin has played amazing games for the past three seasons for Seattle where he totaled 11 tackles, one sack. and one pass defensed. Griffin is also a Florida native who is an inspiration for many because he plays the game without his left hand. He lost his hand when he was a child.

Cre'Von LeBlanc took to social media to post his excitement of being home after his deal with Miami. Shaquem Griffin did not make a post but also showed his excitement online by changing his bio on Instagram and retweeting posts on twitter congratulating him on his new football home.
