Heading into day 2 of training camp, it was announced that Rams QB Matthew Stafford will not practice in the first week of drills due to back soreness. While some people think that maybe a little concern, Rams' HC was optimistic and said that Stafford would be okay and will be ready next week. While Stafford is out, Jimmy G will get a chance to show off his talent as he takes over for the first week.
Now, if you are a fan, Stafford's back injury could be a huge concern with heading into the season because of his throwing motion and the hits that he has taken the last few years with the Rams. Heading into camp, the Rams are looking for their offensive line to be very crisp and gel, so when it comes to the regular season, Stafford will not absorb many hits. Despite the injuries that Stafford had last season, he was able to throw for 3,762 yards, 20 touchdowns and have only 8 picks. With the back soreness, it is something to look out for before and during the season.
