MAKE EQUALITY REALITY GALA RECAP

Equality Now held their annual Gala at the Sony Hall in New York.  "Make Equality A Reality" Gala was a celebration of women and changemakers who are blazing trails for a more just and equal world.  Ashley Judd was honored as the Inaugural Trailblazer Award Honoree.  Others were honored including E Jean Carrol - Inaugural Courage Award...and a special Tribute in Recognition was awarded to Gloria Steinem. 


The gala also featured keynote remarks by filmmaker Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy and a special performance by Gold and platinum-selling album and 14x Top Hit musical artists, Beverley Knight.   The Gala included a toast to Gloria Steinhem from actor Ben Stiller and daughter Ella Stiller, and remarks from fashion designer Prabal Gurung, music producer Drew Dixon and God House CEO Bing Chen.  The annual gala raised a record breaking $1.35 million dollars for the organization.
