Pusha T and Pharrell Williams Launch Grindin Coffee With Star-Studded New York City Events

NEW YORK — Longtime friends and creative collaborators Pusha T and Pharrell Williams are bringing their signature hustle to a new arena with the launch of Grindin Coffee, a coffee brand created in partnership with Italian coffee company Lavazza.
The duo celebrated the brand’s debut in New York City with two exclusive events on Sept. 15, beginning with an intimate breakfast at Ludlow House and continuing later that evening with an official launch party at Time Again.
The morning gathering gave guests an opportunity to experience Grindin Coffee while Pusha T and Pharrell shared the inspiration behind the brand. Attendees were introduced to its dark and medium roast blends over breakfast, highlighting a coffee ritual that has played a role in the artists’ longtime creative partnership.
Among those attending the breakfast were Lavazza CMO Carlo Colpo, Chairman and President Giuseppe Lavazza and members of the Lavazza family, along with Luka Barrat, Dev Hynes, Ari Melber and Rolling Stone CEO Julian Holguin.
Later in the evening, Pusha T and Pharrell shifted the celebration to Time Again for Grindin Coffee’s official launch party. The event brought together figures from music, fashion, entertainment and culture, with DJ sets from Questlove and Jason Stewart helping set the tone for the night.
Coffee Built Around the Hustle
Grindin Coffee takes its name and identity from the work ethic that has defined Pusha T and Pharrell’s careers and creative relationship.
The concept grew out of years of early mornings, late-night recording sessions, workouts, travel and other demanding schedules in which coffee became part of their routine. Rather than positioning the brand simply as a morning beverage, Grindin is being presented as fuel for people constantly creating, building and moving forward.
“Our whole rhythm is created, move, create again. Great coffee is a part of that cycle,” Pusha T said. “Grindin Coffee is for people who are doing something. People who are moving. People who wake up and attack the day.”
He described the experience as less about slowly easing into the morning and more about “ignition.”
That philosophy extends throughout the brand, which is powered by Lavazza and combines Pusha T and Pharrell’s creative vision with the Italian coffee company's more than century-long history in the industry.
“It’s all about the grind,” Pusha T said. “It’s the first move before you build something. That’s why this brand exists.”
