LSU secured their sixth consecutive SEC victory with a 92-70 win over Arkansas

In its sixth straight Southeastern Conference victory, No. 6 LSU defeated Arkansas 92-70 on Thursday night, led by 17 points each from Flau'jae Johnson and Mikaylah Williams.
The Tigers (20-2, 6-2) held just a three-point halftime lead over the Razorbacks (11-11, 0-7), who have suffered double-digit losses in all their league games.
After halftime, LSU pulled away with contributions from Johnson, Williams, and reserve Kate Koval, who recorded 12 points and a season-high 15 rebounds for her sixth double-double of the season.
Grace Knox and Jada Richard each added 12 points for the Tigers, while ZaKiyah Johnson scored 11.Taleyah Jones led Arkansas with 23 points, supported by Jenna Lawrence with 12 points and Bonnie Deas and Maria Anais Rodriguez with 11 each.
Arkansas challenged LSU fiercely in the first half, hitting six of their first nine shots—including 3 of 5 3-pointers—to take a 15-8 lead with 5:43 left in the first quarter. Moments later, LSU coach Kim Mulkey replaced all of her starters. The second unit, spearheaded by ZaKiyah Johnson and Koval—who combined for 12 points in a 14-7 run—tied the score at 22-22 at the end of the first quarter.
Arkansas gave LSU all they could handle in the first half, but the Tigers woke up in the second half and outscored Arkansas significantly thanks to improved defense and offensive efficiency. LSU's adjustments showcased their depth and adaptability, ultimately securing the win. This game highlighted their ability to recover from early struggles and maintain their competitive edge in the league.
