Joyce Edwards led the charge with 20 points, showcasing her scoring prowess by sinking 9 of 14 shots and pulling down five rebounds. Tessa Johnson complemented her effort with 13 points, five assists, and three rebounds, while Maddy McDaniel provided a spark off the bench, draining all three of her 3-point attempts for nine points.

The Gamecocks (21-2, 7-1 Southeastern Conference) burst out of the gate with a commanding 14-0 run in the first quarter, silencing Auburn until Ja'Mia Harris finally responded with a 3-pointer. South Carolina's relentless defense forced 15 turnovers, converting them into 16 points. Although Auburn managed to stifle the Gamecocks for over four minutes in the second quarter, their own offensive struggles limited them to just six points in the period.

South Carolina dominated the paint with a 40-22 scoring edge, leveraging their size to control the game. Harissoum Coulibaly, Auburn's top scorer, was held to 10 points on 5-of-16 shooting and plagued by five turnovers. Despite efforts from Syriah Daniels (11 points) and Khady Leye (nine points, seven rebounds), Auburn couldn't mount a comeback, as South Carolina extended their halftime lead of 38-16 into a decisive victory.
