Lakers heat up in second half and lit up the Pelicans for a 112-95 victory

Los Angeles- After a slow start, the Lakers went on a 12-0 run early in the third and never looked back after taking the lead.

Anthony Davis had a slow and tough night. He shot 5 of 16 from the field and went 0-2 from the three point strike. Despite not getting the ball to drop in the basket much, he started to heat up in the second quarter. Davis scored eight points in the quarter to cut the Pelicans' lead to single digits, which changed the came for LA. He finished with 17 points, 5 rebounds, and 6 assists.

In the second half, the Lakers looked like a completely different team. Kentacious Caldwell-Pope started to get cooking, shooting three consecutive three point shots in the third quarter, which helped sprung a 12-0 run. It seemed like LA eclipsed another gear, as they stole the Pelicans heart by blocking their shots, getting into the passing lane for steals, and had six-fastbreak points off of turnovers. The Lakers had a 27 point quarter and cruised in the fourth quarter to pull out a second half victory over the New Orleans Pelicans.
