Lakers' did not take advantage of the Grizzlies injuries and walked away with a 103-93 loss

After stealing Game 1, the Lakers were in good shape with taking another game away from Memphis. Before tipoff, it was announced that Ja Morant was not going to play because of the injury he suffered on Sunday. With Morant and Steven Adams on the sidelines, LA could take full control of the series with a victory. You would think the Lakers would come out, guns blazing, but they looked very sluggish in the first half.

Outside of LeBron James "quiet 12 points, the rest of the pack was not putting an impact on the game. They allowed 38 paint points by Memphis, which helped Memphis secure a double-digit lead at the break and could not stop back door cuts. Desmond Bane and Xavier Tillman was putting their stamps on this game. Both players combined for 25 points and had Anthony Davis and crew flustered trying to stop them.

In the second half, the Lakers cut the deficit to single digits, but each time it felt like LA was going to explode, Memphis had an answer. James was the only person trying to keep the Lakers in the game. Eventually, the Grizzlies was too much to handle on this night for LA. AD finished with a disappointing 13 points, while James finished with 28
