Lakers are on the verge of being eliminated after a 115-85 loss to the Suns in Game 5
Los Angeles- The Lakers are facing adversity with their backs against the wall, after dropping Game 5 to the Phoenix Suns.
The defending champions are on the verge of being bounced out of of the playoffs after Devin Booker and crew put on a show in Game 5. Without Anthony Davis being in the line-up, because of a groin injury, the Lakers struggled on both sides of the ball.
Defensively, the Lakers had trouble stopping anything in the elbow area, as well as behind the arc. At one point in the game, the Lakers allowed the Suns to shoot around 55% from the field and 35% from behind the arc. LA was out hustled and out rebounded the entire game.
On the offensive end of the court, LeBron James was the only efficient player that impacted the game. James finished with 24 points and 5 rebounds and tried to will his team back into the game after being down 30 points, but there was no other supporting cast that could help him out. No intensity and no fight got the Lakers backed up into a corner. It will be interesting to see how will they respond in a do or die game.
