Since the second half of the NBA season, a lot of fans as well as members of media felt OKC and the Spurs were going to meet up in the Western conference Finals and guess what, it has happened. Game 1 was a serious of gut-wrenching blows by Victor Wembanyama, who took over the game in the fourth. Down by two with under a minute left in regulation, Stretch took a logo three to tie the game up.

After Wemby hit the three, the arena was in somewhat of amazement at what they just saw. The Thunder called a timeout to draw up a play to get a good shot. OKC had a chance to steal Game 1, but the ball did not drop in their favor, and both teams went into overtime, looking tired. SGA and the Bald Mamba in Alex Caruso kept the Thunder in the game, nailing crucial shots to force a second overtime.

I guess Wemby was like, let me put this team to sleep, because it was all him in the second OT. From getting to his spots on the floor, he created superb shot making ability and helped the Spurs go on a 10-4 run to close out the game and take Game 1, 122-115. Wemby finished the game with 41 points, and 24 rebounds, while Caruso had a team high of 31 points.

After the game, Wemby was asked if he took SGA getting MVP over him personal and wanted to be aggressive, he basically told media that it was all of that.
