Prime Video announced Thursday that Kelsey Plum will join its “WNBA on Prime” coverage team as a player contributor during the 2026 WNBA season, bringing one of the league’s most recognizable current stars into the broadcast booth for select appearances.

The four-time WNBA All-Star and two-time league champion will contribute analysis, player insight, and commentary throughout the season as part of Prime Video’s expanded investment in WNBA coverage. Plum’s debut comes as “WNBA on Prime” officially tips off its inaugural season Thursday night with a nationally streamed doubleheader featuring the Minnesota Lynx against the Dallas Wings, followed by the New York Liberty taking on expansion franchise Portland Fire.

Prime Video executive Amina Hussein praised Plum’s addition to the broadcast lineup, highlighting both her accomplishments on the court and her ability to connect with fans.

“Kelsey’s had a standout career in the WNBA and is a dynamic presence in women’s basketball,” Hussein said. “We’re building something special with WNBA on Prime, and her contributions to our broadcast as a current league veteran will add to our goal of delivering fans an authentic, player-driven experience.”

Plum enters the role while continuing her playing career with the Los Angeles Sparks. Since being selected No. 1 overall in the 2017 WNBA Draft, she has developed into one of the league’s premier scorers and personalities. Before turning pro, Plum shattered the NCAA all-time scoring record at the University of Washington.
