Kelsey Plum lit the Wings up in Game 1 victory, 97-83

With another WNBA finals appearance in their sight, all they had to was defeat the Wings in this series. Easier said they done, right. Each game it seemed like one player stepped up and others followed suit. The Aces did not look like the Aces in the first half. There were a lot of turnovers and a lack of containing the paint. Natasha Howard was a key factor with the Wings going on a 10-4 run to take their first of the night. After a timeout was made, Vegas settled in their offense and started to pick apart Dallas from inside and out.

Kelsey Plum started to take over the second quarter. She had it going with two steals and seven points in a five-minute span and helped the Aces expand their lead to double figures. Despite Aja Wilson and Plum going off, the Wings were still in the mix, cutting the Aces' lead to four at the break, 49-45.

Plum continued her hot shooting in the second half, as she hit back-to-back threes out of the third to extend the Aces' lead back to double figures. With her scoring, her teammates started to feed off of her energy. Wilson, Chelsea Gray, and Jackie Young started getting into rythm and that was a bad sign for the Wings. Each time it seemed like the Aces was going to put the Wings in a casket, the Wings would respond and their offense would erupt.

Wilson and Plum put the nail in the coffin as they hit staggering shots to take out the legs of the wins and continue their winning streak. Both Wilson and Plum combined for 59 out of the 97 points for Vegas.
