Jets could not complete the second half comeback as they fall short to the Vikings 23-17
If you are a Jets fans, you were up bright and early watching the 40-year-old Aaron Rodgers attempting to knock off the Vikings in London.
Rodgers had a tough morning as he threw two picks and had trouble throwing to open receivers. At one point, it looked like Rodgers injured himself and was on the sideline stretching out. New York fans breath of relief as Rodgers went back onto the field and helped his team put points on the board late in the third. Let's take it to the fourth quarter.
The Jets defense forced Sam Darnold to throw a pick, which they needed. Rodgers went down the field and in nine plays got the touchdown they need to Garrett Wilson to cut the Vikings' lead to a field goal with under five minutes to go. Momentum swung back to New York's sideline and all they needed was a stop to get the ball back. It looked like the Vikings was on their way of scoring a touchdown to put the game in casket, but the Jets had a little bit of life as they forced Minnesota to kick a field goal. The Vikings nailed the field goal to make it a six-point game.
New Yorks defense did their job, now it was time to see if the Rodgers spark could get the go-ahead victory. Rodgers and crew put pressure on Minnesota as they got to the 20-yard line, but Gilmore spoiled Rodger's comeback as he picked off Rodgers to put the nail in the coffin. Rodgers finished 29 out of 54, 244 yards, and 3 picks.
