Jeanne and Tom Townsend will be recognized at the 38th Annual Caucus Awards

Los Angeles- Jeanne and Tom Townsend, who are the founders of Pianos for People will be recognized and honored at the 38th Annual Caucus Awards.

This year the 38th Annual Caucus Awards will be virtual, due to the pandemic. Different individuals will be recognized and honored for what they are doing for their communities. Jeanne and Tom Townsend will be among the honorees that will be awarded the Caucus’ Humanitarian Award.

Jeanne and Tom Townsend used their non-profit organization Pianos for People to help inspire other musicians with free access to pianos. The foundation was founded in 2012 and has been an inspiration for many of people. After Tom had passed away in 2019 from a rare form of cancer, Jeanne decided to keep the mission and purpose alive.

Since December 2012, Pianos for People has sourced, serviced and delivered over 269 pianos to people, non-profits, and underfunded schools and families, who could not otherwise afford one. They have also provided music lessons for children to explore, create and build on their self-esteem. Pianos for People also offers online music camps, Super Theory Saturdays, Recitals, Piano Slams and Pianos for People Festival.

The 38th Annual Caucus Awards will be March, 4 at 6PM, PST
