Houston Texans Training Camp 2023 Brings Fans Closer to the Action
Houston Texans Training Camp, presented by Xfinity, is set to kick off on Wednesday, July 26, signaling the team's preparations for the 2023 NFL season.
The Texans will be hosting eight training camp practices that are free and open to all fans. These practices will take place on the following dates: Friday, July 28; Sunday, July 30; Friday, August 4; Saturday, August 5; Tuesday, August 8; Sunday, August 13; Wednesday, August 16; and Thursday, August 17.
The majority of the practices will begin at approximately 9 a.m. CT, providing fans with an opportunity to witness the team's training routines. However, there are a few exceptions to this timing. The practice on Saturday, August 5, will take place in the evening at 6 p.m., while practices on Saturday, August 12, and Wednesday, August 30, will start at 3:45 p.m.
Excitement is building within the team and fan base as the training camp approaches. Texans Chair and CEO Cal McNair expressed his anticipation, highlighting the team's commitment to improvement and their goal of winning. McNair also emphasized the importance of engaging with the fans during training camp, recognizing their integral role in the team's journey. “Coach Ryans talks about ‘iron sharpening iron’ during our practices, so it will be great to see the guys competing hard, including when we hold joint practices with the Dolphins and Saints."
To ensure that fans can attend these practices, free tickets will be available for reservation starting on Thursday, June 29, at 10 a.m. CT, through Ticketmaster.com. However, due to the anticipated high demand, there will be a limited number of tickets available per day. Season Ticket Members will receive an email with further registration details. Additionally, fans will have the opportunity to purchase exclusive merchandise worn by the team during training camp, allowing them to support the team in style.
During the Back Together Weekend, the Texans will launch the 2023 NFL Fan of the Year contest. This initiative aims to recognize and celebrate exceptional fans whose dedication, contributions, connection to the game, and inspiring stories serve as inspiration to others. The Texans' nominee for Fan of the Year will be announced in November and will receive remarkable prizes, including two tickets to Super Bowl LVIII in Las Vegas, a game program, and two custom jerseys. The final winner of the 2023 NFL Fan of the Year will be unveiled during Super Bowl weekend.
