The former Clemson Tiger, Marquise Henderson, has announced his transfer destination. On Wednesday, Henderson committed to Liberty University, a private Christian university located in Lynchburg, Virginia.  This decision comes after he was dismissed from the Clemson football team last week.

Henderson, a former in-state talent from Belton-Honea Path, was part of Clemson's 2025 recruiting class. After enrolling early, he faced an injury that sidelined him for most of the spring.

Initially signed as an ATH, the plan was to start Henderson at wide receiver. His high school career at Belton-Honea Path (S.C.) High School was remarkable. He led his team to the 2024 State Class AAAA Semifinals and finished with nearly 8,000 all-purpose yards across 47 games.

As a running back, Henderson averaged 11 yards per rush on 577 carries, setting a school record with 6,369 yards. Additionally, he returned kicks and was listed as a four-star recruit.
