Los Angeles- The Los Angeles Dodgers defeated the D-backs 8-2 to kick off their 2026 quest for a third consecutive World Series title.

Right before tipoff, the Dodgers and their fans celebrated their World Series victory last season with a ring ceremony. After the ceremony and all the laughs and smiles were digested, the Dodgers went back to business. After being down 2-0 early on, the Dodgers' offense started to roll in the fourth inning as Andy Pages hit a three-run shot to go up 4-2. After LA took the lead, they never look back. They finished off the D-Backs in the eighth inning, scoring four more runs to close out their opener.
