After going 7-6 in 2025, Clemson enters a crucial season under coach Dabo Swinney.

A new starting quarterback will be in place for the Tigers. Senior Christopher Vizzina has been a backup for two years and has won the job against freshman Tait Reynolds.

There are plenty of other questions, especially with Chad Morris returning as offensive coordinator. As the lead running back, the Tigers will turn to Gideon Davidson. Following the loss of four starters, the offensive line will be reshuffled.

Last season had so much hype coming into the season with nothing but a championship dream but that quickly turned into a nightmare. Last year, Clemson was ranked No. 4 in the preseason top 5. However, as the season progressed, the struggle became more evident. As a result, they started 1-3 and then became inconsistent. Senior QB Cade Klubnik sustained an ankle injury and finished out only completing 34.3% of his passes. And just like that it was over.

At the press conference on Tuesday coach Swinney said and I quote "Everyone has something to say about Clemson good or bad and no one is overlooking Clemson".

As part of its opening weekend, Clemson will face LSU on Saturday. Not only is it the start of a new season, but it is also an opportunity to turn things around after an underwhelming year. Coach Swinney was adamant about starting with a clean slate.

“We look forward to competing and kicking this thing off” Swinney said.
