The LSU Football Tigers came ready to play tonight as they welcomed the Texas A&M Aggies into Tiger Stadium. The Tigers capped off a first quarter drive with a 1yrd touchdown run by RB, Dillin Jones. The Aggies struggled on offense mainly due to LSU’s fierce overbearing defensive unit. The Aggies were only able to master a field goal in the first half while the Tigers added another touchdown to go into halftime leading by a score of 14-3. The Tiger’s quarterback, Sam Leavitt, 8 for 12 passes for 152yrds in the first half including a touchdown.

The second half of the game became worse for the Aggies as the Tigers dominated with a third quarter onslaught of 21 points to only 3 points by the Aggies. Quarterback Sam Leavitt and backup quarterback Landen Clark combined for adding three more touchdowns for the Tigers in the second half. The Aggies managed one more field goal in the last half of the game. LSU defense continued to dominate Texas A&M offense with sacks smothering the Aggies quarterback Marcel Reed. LSU played a complete game on both sides of the ball which resulted in a 35-6 final score to increase their record to 3-1. On a disturbing note, linebacker Whit Weeks suffered an ankle injury which caused him to exit the game and could not return. Also, LSU’s Sam Leavitt left the field late in the second half with a slight limp in his step. The Tigers’ next opponent is McNeese State University Cowboys next Saturday at 6:45 p.m. in Tiger Stadium.
