Chiefs' Cheetah speed dismantled Dolphins secondary in the second half 33-27

Kansas City- The Chiefs used their speed to finish off the Dolphins in the second half.



Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs potent offense was stopped by the Dolphins in the first quarter. Mahomes threw two crucial interceptions to Miami when they were on the verge of scoring potential points inside of the 40-yard line of the Dolphins. The Dolphins took advantage of the turnovers and turned them into 10 points.


Midway in the second quarter, the "Cheetah" decided to show his colors. Mahomes and the Chiefs offense decided to run a RPO and Tyreek Hill took it to the house for a 35-yard touchdown to cut the Dolphins' lead to three, 10-7.


Chiefs' defense comes up big, as Tyrann Mathieu picked off Tua Tagovailoa with three minutes left in the half. Kansas City went down the field and scored a touchdown to take the lead at the end of the half, 14-10.


At the start of the second half, the Chiefs scored twice in less than two minutes. Kansas scored a touchdown and a punt return to break the game wide open, 28-10. The Chiefs iced the game with a safety to extend their lead 30-10 midway in the the.third quarter.


In the fourth quarter, the Chiefs remained conservative with running the ball and escaped with a victory, to continue their quest of home field advantage. The final score was 33-27 Mahomes finished the game 24 out of 34 for 391 yards, 3 interceptions, 2 touchdowns and had 10 yards on the ground.


Travis Kelce had 8 catches for 134 yards and a touchdown.
