The road to the NBA Finals runs through Cleveland and New York, and ESPN is going all-in for one of the league’s biggest postseason matchups.

The network officially unveiled its expansive coverage plans for the 2026 NBA Eastern Conference Finals presented by Dunkin’, featuring the Cleveland Cavaliers and the New York Knicks in a highly anticipated best-of-seven series beginning Tuesday, May 19 at 8 p.m. ET on ESPN.

Calling the action throughout the series will be ESPN’s lead NBA broadcast crew of Mike Breen, analyst Richard Jefferson, analyst Tim Legler and reporter Lisa Salters.

For the first time, “NBA Tip-Off” and the legendary “Inside the NBA” team will anchor ESPN’s Conference Finals studio coverage. Fans will see Ernie Johnson, Charles Barkley, Kenny Smith and Shaquille O’Neal leading pregame, halftime and postgame analysis throughout the series, with Draymond Green joining select broadcasts as a guest analyst.

Meanwhile, “NBA Today” will expand its weekday coverage with two-hour editions airing from both New York City and Cleveland. Hosted by Malika Andrews, the show will feature contributions from Brian Windhorst, Kendrick Perkins, Chiney Ogwumike, Danny Green, Iman Shumpert and insider Shams Charania.

One of the network’s marquee features ahead of Game 1 will be an exclusive sit-down interview conducted by Andrews with Knicks stars Karl-Anthony Towns and Jalen Brunson from Madison Square Garden.

On radio, ESPN Radio will carry the Eastern Conference Finals nationally with Dave Pasch on play-by-play alongside analyst Doris Burke and reporter Vanessa Richardson.

The network is also bringing major cinematic flair to the postseason. ESPN announced Game 1 coverage will open with a special tease featuring Pedro Pascal in collaboration with The Mandalorian & Grogu, tying the NBA playoffs to Disney and Lucasfilm’s growing entertainment crossover strategy.

Across social media, ESPN plans extensive behind-the-scenes coverage and fan interaction, including the return of Omar Raja’s “Golden Ticket,” TikTok Live pregame sessions hosted by Charania, and “Leg Up,” a social-first breakdown series featuring Legler analyzing critical moments and matchups throughout the series.
