Cleveland had one heck of a game last night, with a 30-10 victory over the Panthers. The talk of the town was not just the victory, but how Shedeur Sanders handed the pressure through the game. He finished the game with 138 yards through the air and 2 touchdowns. After the game, reporters asked Browns HC Kevin Stefanski about his though on Sanders as well as if he was going to allow him to get more practice with the first unit.
“Well, I think you could say this about every player on the field, Chris (Easterling). It’s never perfect. There are so many things that we can do better, and that’s the challenge in this building right now as these guys are watching the tape. Whether you got the rep, whether you played in this game, played a quarter, played the whole game, we all have to learn from these plays and get better. I think there’s so many really, really good teaching moments on this tape. But I think big picture for Shedeur and our quarterbacks, that position, taking care of the football. I think zero giveaways from our offense is a very big deal and goes a very long way, like we talked about, to winning and losing football games.”
Sanders, even in one game has proven that he can throw the ball in tight windows, can be patient in the pocket while it is collapsing, escape with his legs with extending plays. Next week, it will be very interesting to see what direction Coach may go to, but his mindset from the jump has been consistency
