Bowling with Legends recap
Super Bowl week kicked off on a high for me. As a new sports journalist attending the Bowling with Legends event was a major highlight for me. Warren Moon & friends gathered together at the Mavrix bowling and event center for a friendly competition within donating to their foundations, Benefit for Brothers in Arms and Keeping Teachers Teaching
The Brothers in Arms foundation offers financial assistance and diversity scholarships to student athletes who are in single parent homes. The foundation was formed by our legends Warren moon, Andre ware & Vince young. Keeping Teachers Teaching was founded by Darryl Gooden and is dedicated to meeting the needs of teachers, so they continued to encourage to continue to make a difference in the lives of children around the globe.
Warren told me what the Brothers in Arms" foundation meant to him and talked a little about his upcoming cooking show. That’s right our Heisman Trophy Winner is ready to challenge his friends to a cook off. It was delightful to see such honorable man pour out their love and support for moon. Other former players who attended were Pro Football Hall of Fame Members John Randle, Andre Reed, Anthony Munoz, Super Bowl MVP Mark Rypien, Four-Time Super Bowl Champion, Mike Wilson, Eric Wright, Pro Bowl Vince Young, Pro Bowl QB Jeff Garcia
NFL Frankie Sanders, Pro Football players Sal Cannella, Damon Sheehy-Guiseppi
And my favorite Charles Young were in attendance.
Live Entertainment was provided Legendary Bobby Wilson.
