Alisha Gray scored 27 points in a victory over the Wings

The Atlanta Dream took control just before halftime, with Alisha Gray scoring 27 points and Brionna Jones recording a double-double, leading to an 83-75 victory over the Dallas Wings on Saturday.


Brittney Griner contributed 15 points, while Jones added 11 points and 15 rebounds, and Rhyne Howard dished out 10 assists for Atlanta (2-2). The Dream's ball movement was key, with 23 assists on 29 made baskets, shooting 42.6% from the field on 68 attempts.


For Dallas (0-4), Nyssa Smith scored 13 points, Maddy Siegrist added 12 off the bench, Paige Bueckers scored 11, and reserves Tyasha Harris and Teaira McCowan each chipped in 10 points. However, the Wings' starters struggled, going 13 for 47 (27.6%) from the field, as the team shot 30 for 82 overall (36.6%).


Siegrist gave Dallas its last lead at 26-24 with 4:31 remaining in the second quarter. Griner quickly tied the game with a layup, and Gray's two free throws sparked a 13-4 run to close the half, giving Atlanta a 37-30 lead.In the third quarter, Jones' layup extended Atlanta's lead to double digits, 45-35. The Dream continued to build their advantage, leading 68-50 heading into the fourth quarter. Despite a late 15-2 run by Dallas, which cut the deficit to 70-56 with 5:06 remaining, the Wings were unable to close the gap further.
