Alexandra Eala makes history in a comeback of the ages during the US Open 6-3, 2-6, 7-6 (13/11)

The prestigious US Open opened up with a banger of a match against Alexandra Eala and Clara Tauson. After training 5-1 in the third set, Eala got a huge boost within her confidence as the crowd urge her ow. Eala wert on a consistent spill of hitting winners, backhands, and forehands that caught Tauson ff guard. Each time Eala won a game, the roar of the crowd was very loud. Eala went on to win the third game and had this to say after hearing she was the first tennis player from the Philippines to win a Grand Slam Singles match.


"I'm so blessed to be the first to do this," Eala said. "I take so much pride in representing my country. It makes what I do bigger than myself, and it adds meaning to what I do. "I think so many factors made the match so special. I've been on the losing side of these tight tiebreaks before, so to be on the winning side, it's very memorable. Eala said that she will continue to have the same mindset with taking chances and having a positive mindset.
