With a chance to face Aryna Sabalenka in the Final, all Naomi Osaka had to do was defeat Amanda Anisimova, which was no easy feat Osaka struggled a bit wit finding her rhythm in the first set. Unlike her previous matches, Osaka had more unforced errors. She took the first set 7(7)-6(4). Now the second set, it looked like Osaka was going to get the win, but Anisimova's forehand was the highlight of that set. Each time Oska hit the ball long, Anisimova hit the ball back with a spin that was difficult to hit back. Also, unlike Osaka's opponents, Anisimova got Osaka out of her comfort zone and made her move around the court. Anisimova forced a winner take all after she won 7-(7)-6(3).

In the last set, you could see both players physically tired. Osaka grabbed the lead early on, but Anisimova was on fire with her first serve and won the set 6-3.
