Aja Wilson makes her case for MVP, dropping 38, sending the Sky with an early exit

With a chance to advance to the second round of the WNBA playoffs, all the Aces had to do was take care of the Chicago Sky. In the first game, Chelsea Gray was the leading scorer, leading the charge in the victory. Today it was Aja Wilson, who busted for 10 points in the first quarter and helped her team extend their lead to double figures. Even though the Aces sprinted to a fast start, the second quarter for them was a bit of a downer. They had trouble finding the bottom of the net and turned the ball over, which allowed the Sky to cut the Aces' lead back to single digits.

Coach Hammon probably lit a fuse under her players with forcing shots. After a timeout was called midway in the quarter, Las Vegas went to work and pilled on a 12-4 run. The Aces went into the half with a sizeable lead. Well, you would think that Chicago would make a game out of it or attempt to find a spark, but their effort was not there. Chicago could not find an answer stopping Wilson. Wilson was having her ice-cream and cake like it was her birthday.

Outside of Wilson, contributions from everyone else was staggering. Kelsey Plum, Kia Stokes, Gray was pretty much non-existent and combined for 21 points. Las Vegas went onto win 92-70.
