A’ja Wilson had 28 points, 14 rebounds, five blocks and three steals. It was her sixth consecutive game this season that she had at least 20 points and 10 rebounds for Las Vegas. Wilson now ranks third in franchise history for career steals. Tiffany Hayes added 19 points off the bench and Jackie Young scored 11 of her 17 points in the second quarter. At 1:19 left in the first quarter, Las Vegas rookie Kate Martin slipped on the court and had to be assisted to the locker room due to her injuries. Despite returning to the bench, she did not play again.
Chennedy Carter scored 34 points, and Angel Reese had 13 points and 10 rebounds for her 16th double-double in 17 games. Marina Mabrey scored 15 points for the Sky.
With 3:23 left in the game, Carter put Chicago ahead for good, 80-79, on a basket while fouled. The free throw was missed, but the offensive rebound was grabbed by Chicago and Carter made another shot to give the team a three-point lead. Carter also scored on Chicago's next two possessions to make it 86-81 and hold on for the win.
