Aces are one game away from picking up their brooms and sweeping New York

What more could we say about the Aces in Game, besides they took the fight to the Liberty and rung their bell? Jackie Young tagged teamed up with Kelsey Plum and both players scored 26 points. Going into game 2, it would be very interesting to see if Plum and Young would continue their streaky shooting.

Right on que, Plum hit back-to-back threes in the first three minutes of the game to start a 10-2 run for the Aces., forcing the Liberty to take a timeout. Everything was clicking for Vegas in the first quarter. From stopping Breanna Stewart from being a factor to making the game much easier for them, by hitting wide open shots. At the end of the quarter, the Aces were wheeling and dealing, with a huge lead. The rest of the half, Vegas' offense slowed down, while the Liberty went on a 20-12 run, with an attempt to knife at the Aces lead. Once a 20-point lead turned into a mushy eight-point lead for Vegas.

Coming out the locker room, the focus for the Aces was putting a body on Jonquel Jones and not allowing her to dominate the paint. Just like the start the first half, the Aces put body on body on Jones and forced her to take wild shots that were not even hitting the board, which worked out for Vegas. Each time, there was a miss, the Aces would throw an outlet and sprint for an easy bucket. Too much Wilson, Plum, and Gray as the Liberty fell short in Game 2, 104-76
