Wrestling's grandest stage Wrestlemania to be held in Las Vegas April 19-20

After weeks of speculation Wrestlemania 41 finally has its host city and its none other than the bright lights of Las Vegas. Las Vegas played a key role in the build up to Wrestlemania 40 with its press conference.  The announcement was made during the NBC broadcast of the Kentucky Derby pre-show on Saturday. Former World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins and Women's World Champion Becky Lynch were seen at the event before the broadcast showed a video announcement narrated by WWE CCO Paul "Triple H" Levesque.

"Las Vegas is the Sports and Entertainment Capital of the World. Allegiant Stadium has proven to be even greater than the A+ venue Las Vegas guaranteed it would be," WWE president Nick Khan said in a statement. "We look forward to bringing WWE's biggest event, WrestleMania, to Las Vegas and Allegiant Stadium so we can collectively make WrestleMania 41 on April 19 & 20, 2025 the most successful WWE event of all time."

In addition to the two-night stadium event, WWE will bring Raw, SmackDown, NXT Stand & Deliver, the WWE World fan event and the 2025 WWE Hall of Fame ceremony to Las Vegas.  WrestleMania's last visit to Las Vegas was for WrestleMania IX on April 4, 1993, and was held at Caesars Palace. It was the first WrestleMania event to be held outdoors. Hulk Hogan defeated Yokozuna in the main event.

One point of note is Wrestlemania starting at a later date as usual.Traditionally, the show has been held in early April. It's now being pushed back a few weeks in 2025. WWE president Nick Khan said last month that WrestleMania would be moving away from taking place on the same weekend as the Final Four of NCAA March Madness.
