The Storm suffer their second loss of the season
Bradenton, FL- The Seattle Storm winning streak is over, as the Indiana Fever gets the 90-84 victory.
The Storm looked tired against the Indiana Fever, as Seattle lost their second game of the season. For the most part, Seattle turned the ball over more than usual and the Fever took advantage of the opportunities. The Fever had 16 points off of turnovers and the effort to get back and play defense was not there for the Storm. Outside of Jewell Loyd and Breanna Stewart, contributions from their bench was nonexistent. Alysha Clark could not get it going and only had 3 points, 2 assists, and 4 rebounds. The second unit combined for 17 points.
Despite being down double digits late in the fourth quarter, Loyd and Stewart put their team on their back, as they tried to cut the deficit down to single digits. Loyd was on fire, as she scored six- straight points to cut the Fever's lead to four with only .20 seconds left in regulation. The 15-7 run from the Storm was not enough as the Fever held on to end the Storms' winning streak and come out on top with the victory.
Stewart finished the game with 18 points, 3 assists, and 5 rebounds. Loyd finished the game with 35 points, 2 assists, and 2 rebounds.
