The Final Boss makes thrilling return at Bad Blood

It had been well over 20 years since the last time WWE put on the Bad Blood PLE. It was an original staple in 1997 featuring the first ever Hell in the Cell match between Shawn Michaels vs The Undertaker. WWE would use this PPV two more times. Saturday’s edition was a major success not only breaking major gate records for Atlanta, but the storylines were next level. Saturday saw the return of some major superstars. Goldberg made an in-ring appearance. Raquel Rodriguez made a return to save her former tag team partner Liv Morgan. Jimmy Uso returned to help his cousin Roman Reigns and last but not least “The Final Boss” The Rock made his much-anticipated return. HHH announced a branded Champion vs Champion match at Crown Jewel winner receives the Crown Jewel belt.

CM Punk defeats Drew McIntyre Hell in the Cell- Has this rivalry finally come to an end? Before this match both stars stated their willingness to die inside the ring. Both delivered on that promise with McIntyre needing 16 staples after being busted open. The match had everything you could want from a Hell in a Cell match violence and physicality with great story telling. The moment of the match was when McIntyre, who had been taunting Punk all feud with destroying his fan made friendship bracelet. McIntyre takes a black bag which in wrestling terms is symbolic for thumb tacks. Instead of tacks they were a bag full of beads. Drew pours the beads over Punk which seemed to give Punk the jolt he needed to finish the fight. This feud looks to be over with a brilliant way to end it.

Nia Jax defeats Bayley Smackdown Women’s Champion- This match was solid. The storyline seemed to be less about Bayley and more to do with Tiffany Stratton and Nia Jax. It continues to seem like Stratton wants to cash in her briefcase on Jax but Stratton keeps getting caught up in the act. But at this point it seems like a matter of when not if Stratton will turn on Jax.

Damian Priest defeats Finn Balor- Another solid match that put Damien Priest over as he destroyed the entire judgment day by himself. It's unclear where Priest goes from here after this situation.

Rhea Ripley defeats Liv Morgan via disqualification- This match was a very fun showing from both women. The way this match ended there is no doubt this rivalry isn’t going to end anytime soon. This rivalry still has more legs. The added element of Raquel Rodriguez returning was the definition of long-term storytelling as Rhea Ripley cost the two their tag team titles when she attacked and injured Liv Morgan. Rodriguez is a great addition to Judgement Day and serves as a female enforcer for Liv to help keep her belt safe.

Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes defeat Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu- The storytelling in this storyline has been phenomenal. A returning Jimmy Uso has set the stage for a potential War Games match against The Bloodline. After Jimmy helped his cousin Roman Reigns. The Bloodline attacked Cody Rhodes. Reigns seemed hesitant to help after Jimmy Uso talked him into helping. The trio cleaned the ring. Then a returning Rock looked not so pleased by Reigns aligning himself with Cody Rhodes. However, another added wrinkle to this story happened long after the cameras stopped rolling. An angry Kevin Owens was seen in the parking lot arguing and later beating up Rhodes. Owens has been upset with his friend for aligning himself with Reigns. So, Owens has officially turned heel. The layers of this story have made the road to Wrestlemania something to truly be excited for.
