October and Tony Gonzalez are opening the door to honest conversations about what it takes to build—and sustain—a lasting relationship.

iHeartMedia’s My Cultura Podcast Network and SMAC Productions have announced, “No Safe Words with October and Tony Gonzalez,” a weekly podcast premiering September 1. The series will feature candid conversations with prominent and celebrity couples about love, conflict, communication, parenting and navigating life together.

Married for more than 20 years, television personality October Gonzalez and Pro Football Hall of Famer Tony Gonzalez will draw from their own experiences managing a blended family, raising children, navigating major life transitions and balancing a relationship in the public eye.

The couple says the podcast is grounded in the belief that strong relationships are built through consistent effort, openness and honest communication.

“Relationships aren’t something you just get lucky with; they’re actively built through constant hard work every single day with your partner, across all areas,” October and Tony said in a joint statement.

They acknowledged that many couples avoid discussing difficult subjects because of fear but said their own relationship has taught them that honesty can make those challenges easier to navigate. While they do not claim to have all the answers, the Gonzalezes hope to learn alongside their listeners and explore new ways couples can deepen communication and grow together.

Described as part memoir, part comedy and part relationship revolution, “No Safe Words” will take listeners behind closed doors for unfiltered discussions about the rewarding, complicated and sometimes chaotic realities of long-term relationships. October and Tony will be joined by couples in the public eye who will share their own experiences, struggles and lessons.

Leo Gomez, head of iHeartMedia’s My Cultura Podcast Network, said the relationship October and Tony have built resonates because it is rooted in honesty, growth and authenticity.

“Bringing them together to share personal stories and candid conversations about love, marriage and family creates something truly rare—and potentially as iconic as the two of them,” Gomez said. “With ‘No Safe Words,’ listeners will get access to a side of their lives that is seldom shared publicly.”

The program is the latest addition to My Cultura, iHeartMedia’s podcast network dedicated to elevating Latino voices and stories. Launched in May 2021 in collaboration with iHeartLatino executive and on-air personality Enrique Santos, the network now features more than 60 podcasts.
